Sebastián de Vivanco – Missa super octo tonos

The ensemble Sourcework, together with plainchant specialists Schola Antiqua and the wind band La Danserye, present the premier of Missa super octo tonos by Sebastián de Vivanco (1553?-1622). The musicians perform both the polyphony and plainchant from original notation, gathered around the choirbook, in a liturgy inspired by the opening of the academic year in Siglo de Oro Salamanca.
