This concert presents a journey through the music of the ministriles, early wind ensembles that served churches, noble courts, and civic institutions, drawing from both sacred and secular vocal works as well as instrumental dance music. The program features pieces preserved in collections compiled for these ensembles and concludes with a selection of dances published by Tilman Susato in Antwerp in 1551. Performed on reconstructed historical instruments, the concert recreates the rich sonorities and colors of the period, transporting listeners into the sound world of Renaissance wind bands. In doing so, it not only revives a rarely heard repertoire but also offers the audience a genuine and immersive musical experience.
